IT Project Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Coordinator to join our team. Working alongside our Project Manager and Reporting to the General Manager of Technology, this is the perfect opportunity for someone at the beginning of their project management journey. The successful candidate will help continue to effect change over the everyday working lives of over 300+ centres,  700+ National Storage team members and 100,000+ customers, as we rapidly expand.

About the Role:

Working from our Brisbane Office and reporting to the General Manager of Technology, you will be responsible for providing project coordination and reporting within certain methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall. The projects are a mix of Software Development, site-based technology, Cyber programs and physical device roll outs. 

This role is critical to the growth in automation and innovation within National Storage. 

The role will be providing coordination support on a full time basis, Monday to Friday within standard business hours, with the opportunity to work 1 day from home. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and monitoring Project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures .

  • Organising, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings, facilitating meetings where appropriate, and distributing minutes to all project team members.  

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings  

  • Ensuring project deadlines are met  

  • Assisting with the continuous improvement of Project and Program processes for National Storage  

  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project  

  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable and escalating them to the appropriate owner  

  • Manage Software Development Projects and other small projects , and assist the Development team with the running of their projects according to the team project framework  

  • Support the continuous improvement of the team DevOps processes    

  • Create designs for the teams Web applications, and build training content for the teams Web applications   

  • Assist with the establishment of User Community for the Software Development team  

 

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a model team member who champions delivery management principles. You will be someone keen to jump in and learn about National Storge, it’s teams, customers and processes, and apply lessons learned as we go. You will be a naturally process driven person with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and adaptable in an environment of continuous improvement.

You will be a proactive task master, working on multiple items and technology projects whilst achieving all deadlines.

You will be a source of calm under pressure, a true team player, and have an ultimate focus towards driving performance and delivering positive customer outcomes.

Overall, you thrive with a team, across Brisbane and Auckland New Zealand, and excel working on your own as well.
